Crown Commercial Windows have just completed the window refurbishment of Belle Meadow Court in Barnstaple town centre. Situated close to a conservation area, and due to there being no permitted development rights, a planning application was required.
Detail:The original windows had black stained timber frames, desperately in need of replacement. The planning application was for a black foiled woodgrain finish on Eurologik white profiles. This application was turned down by North Devon District Council, on the grounds that the property faced a conservation area, although it was not in the conservation area. The client agreed to lodging an appeal, and subsequently the Planning Inspectorate over-ruled the original refusal and planning permission was granted.
